About me
Lisa Cornelius is an aspiring elementary educator and a recent graduate of Roanoke College where she earned a B.S. in Elementary Education. Growing up in Ghana, through her experiences within a different cultural and educational context, she has developed a cross-cultural lens on the purpose of possibilities of education and hopes to bring global perspectives into her classroom. Her presentation reflects research completed as an honors project in Spring 2026. Lisa is a 2026 Teach for America corps members who is soon relocating to teach within Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
